Lord Sunday poster competition
Lord Sunday is the stunning conclusion to the Keys to the Kingdom series. It will be published in February 2010.
Can you design a poster to get people really excited about Lord Sunday?
Get creative and you could be in the running to win a complete set of Keys to the Kingdom books (including a hot-off-the-press copy of Lord Sunday), signed by Garth Nix, plus $250 cash!
The winner's poster design will be professionally printed and showcased during Garth Nix's tour for Lord Sunday early next year.
How to enter
This competition is only open to Australian residents who are under 18 years of age at 30th November 2009.
Create a poster design to promote Lord Sunday. You can draw or paint your design on paper, produce a collage of paper cutouts, or create a design digitally on a computer.
Your poster must meet the following conditions:
- Size: Your poster design must be at least A4 in size and no larger than A3
- Essential Text: Your poster must include the book title (Lord Sunday), the series name (Keys to the Kingdom) and the author's name (Garth Nix)
- Images: You are welcome to use images of your choice. We have provided 3 images below which you can choose to use but it is not compulsory to include these.
- Posters may be mailed to us as hard copies or emailed as digital files. If you are emailing your design, it must be in one of the following file formats: DOC (Microsoft Word), JPEG, PDF, PSD (Photoshop), INDD (Indesign)
Sending your entry:
All entries must be accompanied by your full name, age, email address (if you have one) and contact phone number.
Entries can either be mailed to:
- PO BOX 8500, St Leonards, NSW 1590 and addressed to 'Allen & Unwin - Lord Sunday Poster competition'
or emailed to:
- keystothekingdom@allenandunwin.com with the subject heading 'Lord Sunday Poster competition'
Entries must be received by Allen & Unwin by 11.59pm on 30th November 2009.
Available Images
- You are welcome to use images of your choice on your poster. We have provided 3 images below which you can choose to use but it is not compulsory to include these.
- These images are in jpeg format and can be printed out for use in a collage or incorporated into a digital design.
- To access these images, click on the relevant link (‘small’ or ‘large’) and then use the ‘save as’ command to store the image on your own computer.
Judging
A shortlist of entries will be determined by Allen & Unwin and the overall winner chosen by Garth Nix. All entries will be judged on creativity and their promotion of the Keys to the Kingdom series.
Judging will be completed by 6th January 2010.
Prize
The winner will be announced on the Keys to the Kingdom website as well as Garth Nix's website. The winner will receive a complete set of Keys to the Kingdom books (including a hot-off-the-press copy of Lord Sunday), personally signed by Garth Nix, plus $250 cash.
