An (In)Compleat Atlas of the House
An incomplete guide to some of the places, objects and creatures of the House and Secondary Realms.
The Scriptorium
Lady Friday tells Arthur, Saturday and the Piper that she is willing to abdicate as mistress of the Fifth House, and that she has left her Key for them in her Scriptorium.
The Scriptorium sits on an imposing rocky peak. There's a flat area about the size of a tennis court on the crest of the mountain, and within that area is a round, onion-domed building. The dome is gilded (though the foil is flaking off in many places, revealing wooden tiles underneath) and the walls are yellow plaster.
