Records
The House and its servants are dedicated to recording and observing the Secondary Realms, which we would call the Universe. Every record in the House is intimately connected with what it records. As whatever it records changes, so does the record.
But if you have the power, it's also possible to change a record and have that change occur to the person, place, object or whatever is being recorded.
