An (In)Compleat Atlas of the House
An incomplete guide to some of the places, objects and creatures of the House and Secondary Realms.
Not-Horses
Copied from Earth horses and then half-bred and half-manufactured in the Pit by Grim Tuesday, Not-Horses have metal skin with living flesh underneath. Typically they have three toes on each leg, but some have four. Each toe is fitted with a 4-inch steel claw for combat.
They are hardy and heal well, and have much greater stamina than earthly horses. They're very smart and need to be treated properly at all times.
Not-Horses became very valuable after the fall of Grim Tuesday, as no new ones were being created.
